I recently submitted a request for O2 to unlock my IPhone 4. I bought the phone second hand and locked to O2 network. I have loaded it with sufficient credit to cover the £15 cost. The imei is clean and I got an O2 sim card from the O2 shop. They have come back with the following:-
The IMEI has not been used on our network with the MPN provided, so it will not be possible to unlatch it.
I find this totally unsatisfactory. I do not wish to be on O2. So far it has cost me £25 to loa credit onto the sim to achieve an unlock. I do not see a valid reason to refuse my request. So why cant I get what I want?
