Problems receiving texts from one EE number

Anonymous
Not applicable

Afternoon all

I've been having issues receiving messages from just one EE number since about 1pm on Thursday 04/01/18.

I've tried wiping the SIM, resetting the phone, turning data on/off, turning flight mode on/off and clearing the cache and history on it, but to no avail. Whilst she receives my texts, the replies that she sends just aren't getting through to me. I've checked that her number isn't blocked and have checked the messaging centre number.

I have an old Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 with Android 2.3 installed on it. She's using a Galaxy J1. I've only today installed Whatsapp and don't have any other message apps installed on the phone.

Any ideas, anyone? I'm hoping that I won't have to buy a new phone.

Thanks

Andrew

Double check in the message app settings that you've not marked it as a spam number.
After that try deleting her number from your contacts to see if it helps.

Try a manual network search and choose Vodafone, wait for it to fail, then go back to automatic or choose O2 network.

Is this other person able to send texts to anyone else?
Do they have any allowances left or credit etc?

I think the problem lies with the sender. If you can receive texts from other people then I will there is a nothing wrong with your phone unless you have blocked her somehow..
