Hi

I have a spare phone which I topped up with £10 about 6 months ago.

I now have a no service mesage and my number is not recognised.

I have never used the phone so wonder if it has expired?

Can't speak with a person at O2 as none available and can't use myO2 account as can't receive a code to my phone which has no service!

Good job I am not relying on O2 during this difficult time!

Thoughts anyone?

Regards

Dave

@mrrena31

The number may be lost if you haven't used it for 6 months. Ring 4445 and see if the number can be reassigned

In order to keep a PAYG number active you must make a chargeable call or send a text every six months and top up once every 999 days. Your number may still be available, and you may be able to get your credit reinstated, but it would take a call to customer service to do that.

O2 will probably reconnect it for you. Apparently you now need to make a chargeable call every three months

Call them @mrrena31

Everything is taking longer due to the lockdown. Call centres and social distancing means limited staff to handle all the queries. Patience needed I'm afraid.
