Is there a way of viewing your call / text/ data usage history or a statement in your O2 account?

Yes, follow this guide until you get to the last section in blue. It gives you your bills and activity over the last 18 months. Guide: How do I get to the 'Download Bill' page? (This is Pay Monthly)

However, if you are PAYG, (I've noticed you posted in that section) then you have to call O2 and ask for a Subject Access Request form (SAR). It will cost you £10 to receive the form I'm afraid.
