Hello,
My Mum has a Doro 6820 mobile phone which is 4G but keeps getting texts from O2 telling her that 3G is being switched off later this year and that she needs to upgrade!
I also have the same phone model on Tesco Mobile and when calling it's Info Hotline it 'thinks I have a 4G phone' and won't need to upgrade.
So, come on O2 you can do better than this! Why is my mother receiving these texts telling her her phone needs to be upgraded after the 3G switch off when it is a brand new 4G phone!
Why is she getting these texts?

No, that's the Google-bot answer, as opposed to actual search results. I've seen instances where the so-called "AI" flatly contradicts other searches, and it's the AI that's wrong.
It's simply not realistic to expect automated bots to understand the finer technical points of VoLTE, VoWiFi, CSFB & suchlike.

@japitts I agree with you @japitts I once used a AI chat bot app and tried to have a conversation with it. The conversation was surprisingly realistic but the only problem was after a few minutes of chatting the bot got my name wrong and was calling me something else. When I told it it had got my name wrong it replied 'oh my bad'. If AI can't get my name right what hope is there for more technical queries of the kind you suggest! 😂

I've not seen any debate as to whether PAYG should be turned off.
I guess it's a debate of one
There is more than @Oxonian that use PAYG here. I use a giffgaff PAYG SIM in my car tracker as does another member on this thread.
The question is "What is O2 going to do?"
