Avoiding O2 Number Deactivation

I'm traveling abroad, using different eSIMs, but I want to keep my O2 pay-as-you-go. I don't want to lose my UK number and return to the UK in a year. How often do I need to top-up my O2 PAYG account to avoid the number being permanently deactivated? I'm not using my UK SIM whilst abroad. If anyone has info on this, it'd be very much appreciated, thanks!

@stingrayfunk

Much discussion about this but you need to make a chargeable call at least once every 6 months and also top up at least once every 6 months.
