Hello,

I know there in unlikely a solution to this, but...

I picked up a Nokia 3510i, using as a work phone. I love it, the simplicity!

All works as it should, picked up a pay and go sim for it too, all working great.

What I can't get to work is the online services, for applications, games etc.

I suppose my first question is, are servers even still running for such an old phone?!

If they are, could anyone help me with the Active Service Settings? You can manually enter them, I have tried using settings I've found in a few forums. One of them gave me a "G" symbol in the top left corner of the screen, and I get "Connecting via GPRS", but then "Connection Lost, Try Again".

I have tried texting "ACTIVE" to 2020, but no good.

If anyone has a definitive answer to the online services even running these days that would be great.

If they are and someone can help me connect, that would make my day!

@Jimzydoodah

What are the settings that you can enter and we'll try and fill them in for you.

Thank you MI5!

So in my service option settings. I can make separate "Active service setting" profiles.

The options to input here are:

Settings' name:

Homepage:

Session Mode: (Temporary or Permanent)

Connection security: (On or Off)

Data bearer: (GSM data or GPRS)

GPRS connection: (Always online or When needed)

GPRS Access point:

IP address:

Authentication type: (Normal or Secure)

Login type: (Manual or Automatic)

User name:

Password:

Honestly I'll be amazed if this still works, but any help you can give would be fantastic!

No idea if these still work or not but have you tried http://www.mphone.co.uk/mms_wap_settings_o2.html ?

Good morning,

I tried these settings. When I try to connect I get a "G" symbol, but eventually it just times out.

I'm wondering if the site the phone to connect to simply doesn't exist anymore?

Are there any old addresses a phone like this even could connect to>?

I have a working Nokia 'phone that was procured about 25 years ago. I have just put a PAYG SIM into it and the online services to which you refer are not working. It seems likely that, due to the passage of time, they are simply no longer available. 👍

I'm fairly certain that wap and gprs servers would have been shut down years ago.
