I have lost internet connection in Sweden (I have an international bolt-on for this).  I was told to uninstall software switch off laptop (win 10 HP Pavilion) and then reboot and reinstall.  Trouble is I cannot complete re install as I get time out message after about 30 seconds. Any ideas?

You probably need a data connection.
Which international bolt on have you got and have you ever connected with it abroad?

You might do better to buy a data sim from Sweden to install in your dongle if honest.

Before I had Wifi... my PC only ever worked using a sim bought and topped up in Spain...

Of course things may have changed now... but that was my experience when abroad and using a netbook or laptop..

I honestly don't know now Rich but nothing from O2 did when I tried..Then if you remember you recommended the one from 3.....which should have worked and didn't The only guaranteed one I could use was the Orange ES one I bought and topped up in Spain. However this was 3 years ago and I wasn't sure if things had changed since then? Since I had Wifi I have never bothered to try again..

Yeah, apparently o2 data sims only work abroad if some 2nd level restriction is removed from the account. Phone sims are obviously different though.
