Take note of the T&C's here http://www.o2.co.uk/international/travel/standard-charges
Any of the networks that your phone connects to will be fine but make sure they are EU providers and that you don't stray onto a non EU network.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

@MI5 thanks, tell me how do I stop straying onto a non-eu operator? I thought by travelling to any European country within the o2 Travel bolt-on T&C's would be seamless with no probs?

Problem occurs if you get close to a border with a non EU country, your phone could automatically connect.
Best way is to take phone off automatic network search and manually choose an EU operator.
Also be careful if you are going by Ferry ship as they have their own networks which charge something like £1000 per minute or mb of data !!

Depends what else you got in the hotel room slight_smile
Seriously tho - you should be safe but it's possible that you phone might stray onto a ships network if you are near any ports.....

Well there is that option of staying in your room...particularly if they have WiFi...

But you could then miss seeing all those tulips... Smiley Very Happy

Best thing to do if you're travelling to Europe by ferry is to make sure your mobile data is switched off, or better yet, if you can hold yourself back from taking photos while you're on board, turn the phone off completely until you're well away from the port.
