It may fix a serious issue with the audio.

Probably something I would never notice as I don't use anything hi res with my hearing problems but I can see how this would be an issue for people. Let's hope you get an answer soon.

It's just bloody annoying when I forget to reset after listening to music and my phone rings, popping and farting in your ear as you explain you'll call them back.

Hey... So, the new update is coming and it should be with you over the next few days - as always I can't give an exact date I'm afraid, which may be an issue for you viridis, but the hope at present is for within the next 5 days.

It's OK @Cleoriff, I've been conversing with Sony tech in Lund and have isolated the bug.
Only happens with certain criteria which my listening habits falls into.
Apparently it is present in firm 170 but cannot be replicated in 200.
Ties in with the unofficial changes of "various bug fixes" and covers "in call audio quality improvements"

Slightly better news Viridis is we're hopeful of a weekend rollout - this will hit PC Companion first and OTA updates usually filter out within around 5 days. So if you're comfortable with PC Companion, hopefully you'll be able to test things out over the weekend
