@Chris_K
Any idea on rollout time for this update?
It may fix a serious issue with the audio.

Hey... So, the new update is coming and it should be with you over the next few days - as always I can't give an exact date I'm afraid, which may be an issue for you viridis, but the hope at present is for within the next 5 days.

Using certain noise cancelling headphones to listen to Hi-Res Audio wil cause distortions in subsequent phone calls until phone is reset.

Sony told me there is a rollout ongoing of 200 firmware which fixes certain audio problems in calls.
Originally took it in o2 and the twonk there was telling me there may be a fee for a repair. I said:
1. No
2. It's called a replacement in the first month.
3. I'll call Sony first.

Less than a week left to replace if the firmware doesn't fix so pretty urgent.

Mmmmmm...well I know what I would be doing. (but thats me) The way I look at it unless it is released in the next day or so and you install and test it...and it still doesn't improve....you are cutting it a bit fine:smileysad:

It takes three seconds to replicate and test
Make call using normal phone speaker and end call after hearing quality.
Plug in MDR-NC750 (or NC31 from Z2 but use NC profile for NC750) and play a Hi-Res track for few seconds.
Pull out headphones and make call.
Sound quality distorted and broken.
Reset phone, all fine... Proof it's software not hardware.

Reluctant to swap tbh, perfect screen, build, camera, everything is awesome except this bug.

Surely makes no sense to swap phones if it's a software bug....?

Yup, I agree.
I'm 99% sure it's software, factory reset did not fix it so I'm hoping the firmware will.
(there's always that 1%)

Gonna go into cpw later and try to replicate it as so far...
