O2 incorrectly issued a default on my wife's credit file now impacting our remortgage.

Anonymous
Not applicable
02 have incorrectly issued a default on my wife's credit file which they admitted to and are taking a long time to clear the issue with Experian. This has now impacted our timescales to remortgage and find a bank who will take us. We are at risk of losing our dream home if 02 do not hurry up and clear the issue.

Help needed from 02 to speed this process up!

Have you considered added a notice of correction to your credit file yourself? Otherwise, all you can do is chase them up.

More than a few people have had the same issue @Anonymous. It really is down to you to chase up and express the urgency of the matter. If you had more time you may want to issue a complaint. http://www.o2.co.uk/how-to-complain and do it via the resolver link included

A notice of correction is the only thing you can do now. Add any admittance from o2 if you have it in writing and it shouldn't be much of a problem where your mortgage is concerned.
