Does access the O2 Android app on mobile data use my allocated data? I'm currently roaming and have to check it regularly for several family members.

Yes, every access to a website made using your data allowance will use some of that allowance.

If you are connected to hotel or other WiFi, none of your data allowance is used, @RogerRoger More info on keeping track here:

Thanks but I asked about the app, not the website.

 

Providers often exempt their own services from eating into your allowance.

From what I remember then the Mobile App and Mobile Site, are zero rated along with this list
