Because it’s shortly to be removed, I’ve just abandoned TU2GO in favour of O2 WiFiCalling. However, WiFiCalling won’t take texts, whereas TU2GO would take texts. This is particularly disappointing as the O2 network is very poor here, and I need this facility for texts - in particular for receiving one time passwords. Can anyone help, please? Andy.

@AnonymousAs you say O2 is poor where you are have you thought about changing to EE or Three?

Both offer Wifi calling with texts...but with EE you need to use it on one of their branded handsets. Three offer the Three in Touch app which may be of benefit to you http://www.three.co.uk/discover/three_intouch

You may not need either of their wifi calling options, if you switch networks and find you have a better signal. Just a suggestion...:smileywink:

Thanks for this. I've now discovered O2 don't offer texting with WiFiCalling, so why did they remove TU2GO - which did offer texting?

I will just add that EE wifi calling works on my sim free Lumia 950, so branded handsets aren't a 100% requirement on EE.

I've just found an app called Dingtone which will apparently send and receive texts. Will give it a try, but if it works then O2 and BT landline people should be worried!
