An O2 account has recently appeared on my credit report, but I don't have an account with O2.  I phoned O2 who told me to get in touch with the credit reference agency, which I did but O2 closed my query down by stating that it was a correct an accurate reporting.  have also tried emailing O2 fraud department, but to date have had nothing back from them.

What do I have to do to get this issue sorted before any real damage is done to my Credit Report?

If you have not opened the account, and it is not an error on the credit agency report @AMB13 then you need to report it to Action Fraud and the o2 fraud team.

the o2 help page has a link to their website, along with other sources of information.

https://www.o2.co.uk/help/safety-and-security/phishing-and-smishing-advice

To report it to o2 you need to call customer services on 202 from your mobile or 0344 809 0202.

If you have no access to a phone then use Skype to call 0800 032 1402.

When you call, you will be asked for the reason you are calling,

Stay silent for 15 seconds and you will be taken to the keypad options.

Press 2 for Everything Else

Press 5 for More Options

Press 7 for Anything Else which will put you though to an advisor.

Press Upgrade, Lost/Stolen or Fraud if you have to.

8am is the best time to call

Please note, this is not customer services and we cannot access your account. Do not publish personal details (email, phone number, bank account).
