I went abroad earlier this year and when I returned found out there is a single o2 number from which I can receive texts but not send them. I am not blocked at the other end. Any ideas?

Most phones have separate text and call block settings.
Have you tried sending them a text and getting them to reply directly from that?

@Brassneck

Recheck your message settings for blocked numbers.

There is no other explanation to stop receiving from just one number.

Delete the contact from your phone too and re add it as this might help.

The number is not blocked. I already tried adding as a new contact - I can receive phone calls. Is it possible on iPhone to block messages and not phone calls?

I can receive from this number but when I send they don’t get delivered. Same if I type number in directly or reply to a received message.

Without any doubt, your messages are blocked by the other phone receiving them. Insist they check their reject list. If you can call them ok then the problem is in the seperate message settings on that phone.

Check your blocked number list if that is all fine then you mite have to phone o2 or go to a o2 store and what they can do about it.
