Bought a mobile from O2 on line shop and was told in love chat the phone was UNLOCKED to any network.

Got phone, put sim card in, will not work.

Tried other networks will not work.

Phone just says Emergency Calls Only!

I am stuck!

Called O2 and was told to put the O2 sim card in phone and wait 24 hours as this should open up the phone. Done as retold but still not working.

Rang O2 many times only to get cut off.

Need this sorting ASAP as cannot use the phone.

Any help or advice would be most grateful.

Before COVID-19 gets me I'm off to the shed for a piece of rope as I can't take this any more.

Rope snapped so I'm back.

It's not over till the fat lady sings and fingers crossed I may have some good news tomorrow

Me too my friend, me too. Maybe this cloud has a silver lining after all, fingers crossed.

I shall keep you posted IF something/anything happens to get the little guy back on his feet after being trampled on and squashed mercilessly by O2.

We all love a happy ending, could this be one I wonder

Well, well, well. It appears that there is someone maybe anyone and maybe only one person at O2 HQ who knows how to resolve a very basic simple query like mine.

I know it's hard to believe but it is in fact true.

Not wanting to mention names, departments, etc, etc but let's just say that finally after all the hassle I had encountered, none of it my doing, I now have a mobile phone that is unlocked to any network
