I'm asking this question on behalf of a friend, who asked me the question, & I don't know the answer

She has a phone case in neoprene with a magnetic fastener 

Will this type of fastener affect the phone in any way?

Sorry to ask a basic question ... but ... she really likes the case which meant for a camera, I believe

@MI5The flip cover for the OP3T uses a magnet to turn the screen off when closed too. If I drop a 1p or 2p coin in my pocket, it has occasionally been snagged by the magnet...

And the same flap has a slightly recessed credit-card sized pocket in it, seemed not to have an adverse effect on the type of card used in Point A hotels any way
