Home Tariff Abroad

Just a Question that has me scratching my head. Why don't O2 look after customers when they are abroad? Both In Europe and other Continents 3UK let their customers use the Home tariff they are on abroad .Why cant o2 do that? Three are the smallest network of the Majors but yet they offer better customer service and help in saving money, Using my Phone in Florida with 02 Cost me £40 extra on top my usual bill yet my brother used 3uk and the texts, calls and data (he has a unlimited text and data tariff) was just taken from his package. C'mon o2 Get with it Please!!

Additionally, whilst they may be a small player in the UK, Worldwide is a completely different story and are one of the largest listed on the Hong Kong stock exchange (so not short of money at all ;))

It's better than what it used to be! I remember the 25Mb being reduced to 15Mb, now so called unlimited but restricted for £1.99/day.
But I know what you mean, especially getting charged excessive rates when using O2 in a different country!
I see there's still no confirmation on the scrapping of charges that were supposed to come in at the end of this year!

I travel abroad a lot and nearly changed to 3 because of this ...

However I now have WiFi in my own apartment and most of the places I visit whilst here also have Wifi....so now I have no need to use data roaming. That doesn't stop me realising that others are maybe not quite as lucky. I am in Spain now as I am posting this...from my laptop using Wifi wink

On Three's website tonight that state that they are adding Spain to their home countries from April @Cleoriff

Yes I think they realised they were well behind by not including Spain at the time (The most popular holiday destination)  Thing is for me personally.... when abroad I rarely call or text.  I discovered the real benefits of Wifi....using many of the other options available. Also, I think the 50p connection fee for 59 mins call time is brilliant... No matter how long I spend in Spain my bill is only fractionally higher than usual Happy Dance

O2 travel guide would be good. The questions are asked so many times without referring to the relevant pages. We could just point to the guide which could be included in the help topics.

Don't forget to include info on manual selection near bordering countries not covered and vital info about rip off prices concerning ferries, airlines, voice mail etc.:smileywink:
