Free tablet when upgrading to s9+

So 5 weeks ago i got the s9+ with the netflix and tablet deal.

5 weeks later i had to go into the store to get the netflix sorted. The girl who was chatting on whats app while "helping me" did get the netflix sorted than walked off saying thr tablet will be posted after 40 days amd i had five days left.

I called customer care who told me that they are currently out of stock of the tablets and it will up to a further 40 days before the tablet is sent to me. Took me ten minutes to get the lady on the phone to agree to send me written conformation that i will be recieving the tablet eventually.

Anyone else had this problem?

@Gemmafawn It is limited stock I believe & O2 have to wait for Samsung to send them supplies. I’d chase up customer service again & hopefully you will receive your tablet

You can call to chase but there shouldn’t be any need.
Most are getting their tablets around 5 weeks after taking the contract but it can take up to 54 days in total.

You should get tracking information from O2 when it is dispatched.

Still not solved

on 23rd june i took out an s9+ on the get a free tablet deal.
7 weeks two visits to the store and many phone calls to customer service later still no tablet.

last time i was in the store karla who sold me the deal ciuldnt have cared less. in fact the whole time i was trying to talk yo her ahe was changing the stores music and talking to mates about a night out on whats app.

so what i would like to know is where is the tablet? and how did karla screw up my order to the point where people who got there phones after me have all ready recieved their tablets

No but it will be next Tuesday and as @Gemmafawn has been given conflicting advice when speaking to CS then probably right to get someone to chase it up?

Yes but will anyone own up to this & will the tablet actually get to the OP’s hands?

Update.

I recieved a call from a manager from customer services today who informed me that there are other people who got the deal from the same place i did and havent recieved notification of when they can expect the tablet.
They have started an investigation and have told me that for all of us the order has been done wrong as there is nothing on it about sending our tablets to us.
They told me they couldnt offer an date to any of us as to when one will be sent out as they have forms to fill in and escalations to do but they will be keeping us all updated in due course.
I only took this deal as my laptop is coming to end of life and getting a decent tablet made financal sense.
