My contract ran out and I moved my number over to a new SIM several months ago and I now require deletion of my O2 account as it is no longer of any use.

If you mean here just log out and it will go dormant.

Even tho you have moved you can still visit if you wish. slight_smile

Or contact @Toby who would be able to help.

if you moved to a Payg sim the account will de activate in around 6 months as long as you don't top up in 999 days or make a call within 6 months.

For some strange reason O2's system doesn't allow deletion of accounts. As @Anonymous says it will just become dormant after six months.

As with all companies an audit trail is required for a certain period of time. Therefore your account will remain on O2's systems in compliance with UK law.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Hmmm. The last Pay Monthly bill was dated 8th October 2013; it shows the bill is disconnected I'd just rather not have an account with all my personal information on hanging around if it can be helped.

Unfortunately, as explained, it cannot be helped unless the law is changed.
