Hey all,
Is there a way to get in touch with O2 Customer Service via Whatsapp?
I know you can do something similar from the mobile app, but I was wondering if there is something similar that Three and Virgin Media has... where you can get in touch directly via Whatsapp.
Thanks,
A.
Alexander

No sorry you can contact customer services via phone or social media.
Give O2 a call on 202 or 0344 809 0202 (or use the specific Payment management number - 0800 902 0217 )
Or you can message O2 on Facebook ( https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter ( https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram ( https://o2uk.co/O2CIG), hopefully they should be able to help

If you go to the shop pages and wait for the chat pop up https://www.o2.co.uk/shop you can start a WhatsApp chat from there.

thanks for this tip MI5 very helpful. I did what you said and did get through on whatsapp but it was sales/upgrades chat only. I'm looking for O2 payg tech support using whatsapp. I know its available because I did use it once before but I can't remember how I got there. I wish O2 would make it easier to find. do you know how to get O2 payg tech support over whatsapp?

O2 have restricted the chat channels to sales and monthly contracts only now.
The info was correct at the time of posting but that was 2 years ago, sorry.
Social media is your best chance now.

@Dynostream Pay & Go customer service is a free call on 4445 from your mobile.
There are many community members with good tech abilities. Try asking here.

I have the same need. I am switching my contract SIM-only to 02, and they have gone and transferred my number to O2 without first verifying if I've received their SIM. This is so ridiculous I can hardly believe the incompetence.
As a result my old Vodafone SIM is dead, I can't make or receive phone calls on my phone, and only ring people I already know via WhatsApp. I am away from home. They won't speak to my wife as she's "not the customer", and I cannot speak to anyone at O2 via phone, text or Online Chat.
I can't the same result with Chat as other people: only Sales use it, and despite my asking them not to, they wimp out from solving the problem and transfer me to the Virtual Bot, which is utterly useless.
*Not* a great start to my O2 "journey"!
