Can't connect to home wifi

Anonymous

What does o2 do to the phones to prevent them from connecting to home WiFi? My wife bought a pay as you go Samsung a month and a half ago. Initially she could connect to our home WiFi. Since the first of the next month, she has been unable to connect to home WiFi. I bought a Sony e5 on Oct 1. Since I bought it, I have connected to home WiFi with no problem up until yesterday. It just seems really strange and ******ty that our losing home WiFi connection coincides with our first payment to o2. We have several other devices connected so this is not a router issue or password issue. I was perfectly capable of connecting mine the whole time she couldn't connect hers.

Connect to the 5ghz stream or if not available, change the 2.4ghz setting to "best compatibility" instead of range or speed.
2.4ghz is rammed with stuff interfering with WiFi it's a joke.

O2 do nothing at all, how could they?
The issue is with your phones or router.
Reboot router, forget the network on phone and reconnect.
What wifi is it too, ie BT, Sky, Virgin etc?

It's Virgin broadband. We've done several router reboots in the month since she lost connectivity. She did forget connection and tried to reconnect. The same time she lost connection, several laptops, tablets, and, cell phones were unaffected. When I lost connection yesterday morning, no other devices were affected. I forget connection and then did a network settings reset just to make sure nothing was accidentally changed.
