Booster need for 4g in Berkshire

Anonymous
Not applicable
Only a few miles off the m4, and on a hill, but still no decent 4g reception. Have 3G booster boxes on chimney. Switched to latest iPhone in the hope that this would improve, but reception is still nowhere near good enough (2 rather than 5 bars) Now need 4g booster. Any recommendations - quite happy to pay, just need good 5 bar every hour of the day reception!

This is what O2 business customers are using. Not sure how much it will cost you but I've been told around 250.00. Not meant to be used on consumer tariffs so O2 will not provide it and if it doesn't work then you are on your own. Hope this helps slight_smile

The only legal boosters are those provided by O2 on business tariffs.
The use of anything else can land you in prison.

O2 ref 4G - they are improving the network but places will have fringe coverage and not spots.

What does your http://status.o2.co.uk say.

Are you able to try your Sim Card in another phone as a process of elimination to rule out the phone or sim card that may be at fault.

I can't recommend any such booster boxes.

Would recommend those with 2 bars of 4g be grateful during the network upgrades. In this area it is 2g only (no 3g or 4g) and in many places no signal at all.

Because you need to be licenced to transmit a radio signal in the UK.

Gateways, signal boosters, whatever you want to call them.
Illegal and interfere with other customers signals and other radio transmissions.
