Amazon Prime Extra - Does it come with Free months or is it just a £2 reduction per month?

It's not clear whether this extra still comes with 3 or so months of free Prime or it's just a £2 a month reduction with a 6 month minimum.
Anybody taken it out recently and can confirm?

If offered as an extra with a contract or upgrade you get the free months first.

If just taking the priority offer, there's no free months.

No mention of a free period!
