3G in Crete COSMOTE

Anonymous
Not applicable
On holiday in Crete and my iPhone won't connect to 3G. Get a message saying I am not subscribed to a data service. Got an 02 minute they plan with 500mb and had a text from 02 saying I can use it just like in the U.K. Done a reset, turn off and on, switched off data and back on again, checked for a carrier update, nothing seems to.

Anyone experienced this and got a fix?

Thanks for any advice.

Is data roaming turned on too?
Also try turning off 4g and also do a manual network search.
If calls and texts are working you should be set up for data too but if not give customer service a call or chat to check your account.

Be aware though that data speeds will be severely throttled

According to google the main/best network is Cosmote...though you could also use Vodafone or WIND if your phone will connect. If this is the first time abroad you 'may' need to let O2 know you are travelling/or are in Greece. I know this isn't strictly necessary but something I used to do. Also try and use WiFi wherever it's available @Anonymous
