Cant make or receive calls abroad O2 PAYG

hi, i am currently in Athens Greece (EU) with a PAYG o2. 

after chatting with o2 customer service and roaming experts, regarding my issue, i am still facing the same issue. 

I already have selected the manual network selection, enabled the Roaming service and disabled Mobile Data. 

The issue is once i register the phone to Cosmote 2G network (not other network types seem to get it registered i.e. 3g, 4g neither any of rest of the providers) i am always able to make or receive 1 call  and then everything stops working!

i must

• unregister the phone from the provided,
• choose another 2g service provider, have an unsuccessful registratrion
• and then re regester to Cosmote 2g so that i can either receive or make 1 call. all other incoming calls wont get through or if i try to make a new call it wont work !

Isnt that weird ???
