new sim / old number

I have just changed my phone to a Nokia Lumia 620 , i contacted o2 and asked them to put my old number on to my new sim card , which they did .

The trouble is my phone shows the new number , yet when i call my phone with my old number it rings plus shows the correct blance .

ANY HELP ?

MI5 has given you good advice on how to overwrite the existing number with the correct one. Should you wish to ignore the solution then that is your choice.

Showing a little respect for people trying to help you costs nothing and who knows you may get a little respect in return.

Any sympathy for your plight will have long gone.
