I've read the instructions in detail but I can't switch this on - the option for VVM here just isn't listed - I'm using WP8.10.12397.895 which is reported as the most recent version, and I'm on an O2 pay monthly contract - help!

I suspected something like that - Chris mentioned it in an early post about it 😞

It does seem to contradict the information in this post though that has an update on the 18th of August saying that it works on business tariffs.... Unless I'm just reading it wrong.... or just seeing the parts i want to see.

I couldn't see any specific mention of business tariffs...

We do need @Chris_K to confirm or otherwise though.....

It's towards the bottom of the updates on the first post....

VVM on Business tariffs?
Yep, it works - you got it!

Either way a definite answer would be appreciated. Or a timescale for business users.

This doesn't appear to be an official O2 build Graham - it looks like it could be the Nokia Black or a Developer Preview - would you be able to confirm?

I also have a new Lumia 930 with the firmware version of 02061.00066.14353.31004. The phone was purchased from CPW on an O2 pay monthly contract. So it wasn't purchased SIM free. From what I gather, this firmware version isn't compatible with VVM?

VVM will work for business tariffs - I do find it odd that you got the device from CPW, yet appears branded to O2 - I can confirm however that despite this, the firmware version you have quoted is definitely an open market version and not an O2 one and this will be the reason for VVM not working. It sounds like there may be an O2 bootloader on the device (O2 splash screen) which is booting to an Open Market build. Again I find this very odd, but that firmware is definitely an open market one.

It did update when i first got it but i've not gone for any of the developer builds.

The phone software is Lumia Cyan - build creation date 28/07/2014wp_ss_20141001_0001.png

And in case of a typo here's a grab of the versions...

Let me know if you need anything else.

My 930 running Cyan/Developer Preview also refuses to enable VVM, with the text message being returned about number not being usable for VVM

930 is SIM-locked to O2 and also running O2 branded firmware (logo on boot)

O2 pay-monthly SIM on Business tarrif

same firmware as above (02061.00066.14252.51002) after an OTA update, OS version 8.10.14176.243

Chris_k mentioned above that this wasn't one of O2's official firmwares.....

Then why do I get the O2 logo on boot and the phone carrier is shown is O2 not CV GB (even before I put a SIM card in)

Looks like the ridiculous complexity of combinations of Product Code/Firmware revision/Windows Phone OS version has confused the heck out of everyone
