Nokia HERE Drive - Voice instructions work intermittently

On my Nokia Lumia 720 I am seeing if HERE Drive can replace my somewhat aged TomTom. The maps and pictorial directions are fine but the voice instructions only work intermittently which is quite annoying. I am not sure why this is happening as everything else works. If anyone has an idea how I can overcome this problem I shall appreciate it. I have checked Nokia's own forum but can find no reference to this problem.

Solved! There was conflict between the phone and the Bluetooth in car system. All I had to do was reroute the voice instructions through the car system and everything works fine. Thanks for your interest.:smileyhappy:

Have you tried this outside of the car, I'm thinking a heated windscreen might be the culprit?

Perksie - I'm not sure I understand how a heated windscreen would cause intermittent voice issues....

Breaking up the signal, sat-navs often won't work properly with a heated screen and need an external aerial.

I do not have a heated windscreen, I have an idea of what may be happening and it to do with the cradle for the phone interfereing with the buttons. Will check it out and report back. In meantime thanks for your interest.

Glad you fixed it.

It sounded like the set up was adrift.
