O2 just sent me a message for setting prepaid WAP. Does anybody know whether I can get another type of connection to internet?
(PS: I got my O2 prepaid SIM card about 4 - 6 years ago.)

Wireless LAN is used when you connect to the internet via a local wi-fi connection, this can be your home internet connection wi-fi router, or in a local shop or pub etc.
Wi-fi is normally free.
WAP is when you connect directly to the internet using data via your O2 connection.
To use data you normally need a data bolt on from O2.

Well you can obviously use wifi but what other type of connection are you trying to get?
You may find that your sim card could do with replacing and may not be 3G equipped.

Something I don't understand is when some "apps" or programmes needs internent connection there is an error message "Packet data connection not available".
I know nothing about internent connection, what is the the difference between wireless LAN and WAP?
