Insurance added without knowledge

When I originally got the phone, I declined the £12.50 insurance but I see now that it's added as a bolt on.

How could this happen and has anyone else experienced this?

If you have no physical proof that you declined the insurance and then let it carry on for several years, I'm afraid it is your ** bleep ** up.

2 years, very little chance of a refund, you've had all that time to check your account for this.

The response would have been different if you had told us that at the beginning.

I would probably use  different wording but  spot on Bambino.

It's just too long and the amount is too high to go unnoticed....(Their point of view).

I was quoting what the OP posted at the bottom of page 2 of the thread.

Bambino, I knew that was a risky statement and sadly true. I got the phone(s) for my daughters and simply set up the dd. I baulked at the insurance because proportionally is was a huge percentage of the overall cost.

Should I have looked more carefully? Most definitely. Am I wrong for challenging an add on I just know I never agreed to. Most definitely

When I g et back to the UK I will talk to O2. If it boils down to my own stupidity, as much as I won't want to I will 'fess up. If it's an O2 error I'll say so. Can't be much fairer than that methinks
