Hi,
For the past few months my HTC 8x has been rebooting itself and I've frequently been getting a Sim Error:
"Sim Error : The SIM card is missing or invalid. You can still make emergency calls if your mobile operator supports it."
A reboot of the phone usually fixes it for a while, but it's getting more frequent and very annoying. I rely on my phone to stay in contact with job agents, and it's now getting beyond a joke. Searching online, this appears to be a known issue as it's popping up on various forums and so on, but I've not found a fix yet.
Anyone else with O2 experiencing this, and have you found a fix?
Cheers,
Alister

Can only suggest you get your phone in to be repaired. Contact HTC directly and see what they recommend....

Hi,
I had the same problem after I installed the GDR2 update... It got to point where the phone was constantly looking for the sim card leaving me with a phone I couldn't make phone calls with... Very frustrating...
I also did some research and this was a common problem a year ago, but since then updates seemed to cure the problem....
So, that left me nothing else, but to do a hard reset. (luckily being able to do backups with windows phone, restoring the phone wasn't any painful at all) This worked like a charm, since then I had not one SIM-error message.
Cheers,
