Ready?
Then let’s go.
Our understanding is that 10.3.1 will be released in the UK on the 27th January for all current devices and that this will NOT be carrier dependent – in other words BlackBerry will push the update direct to handsets which, if you ask me, is great news for us all.
Since John Chen became CEO updates have been pretty much bang on synchronised around the world so set your device to auto update (Settings>Software Updates>Options>Auto Update ON) sit back and enjoy the goodness at the end of the month!
Unlike Android Lollipop this will work on all BB10 devices and not lag out of the box.
And, unlike iOS8 you won’t have to delete all your photos to download it only to find it doesn’t really work.
Get ready, it’s coming your way in the next 3 weeks.
Good value for your smartphone purchase?
You’ll only find that with a BlackBerry."

Locking and loading with bloatware is just a way of getting revenue for the networks on subsidised handsets but I agree, sim free phones should be the order of the day and maybe sometime in the future it will be compulsory for the networks to provide them.

My Z10 is 2 years old now and I'm more than happy with it, the contract is up for renewal shortly and I'll be going to sim only I think

Well, a reluctant goodbye to all.
Like k100rs, I have been a happy Z10 user for 2 years, and the natural progession is the Passport.
Most unfortunate that O2 were unable to provide me with my handset of choice at contract renewal, so I have bought my own. And even more unfortunately I have gone with another provider who can offer me better value (ironically using the O2 network).
Despite our little tiffs, I have received good service from O2. Just a shame they couldn't provide me with what I wanted when it mattered.
