Happiness is caring for everyone at Christmas
Help the birds as it's getting colder by giving them some seeds, small amounts of grated cheese, some raisins are nice, Blackbirds like these ~ and water. They feed here in the morning and late afternoon before they settle down for a sleep.
Bees are hibernating now sleeping in their ground nests or some are in hives. My bees have all been cleaned and put in a box for Spring. These are the Cocoons cleaned ~ they produced over 700 this year. They are asleep in their silk cocoons, they spun these themselves for a winters sleep.
This little fox family has been here for years. A little treat every evening left at the rear of the garden has been enjoyed and she really loves a jam sandwich. Put some food in a posh dish one year and she ran off with it to her den no doubt. Ah well her kitchen must be really pretty!
Visiting Deer too! Love my roses in Spring ~ but I don't mind!
~ Have a wonderful day to-day ~

Lovely part of the advent calendar @TallTrees
Never forget our wildlife during winter.
Our garden is far too enclosed to welcome foxes or deer, though we have plenty of birds still visiting our bird table.

@TallTrees your 3 December Advent Day is wonderful
I feed the birds in the old hawthorn hedge along the canal towpath . I tie up fat balls full of goodness and now I shall put out dried fruit which you have suggested above.

What a beautiful and a lovely thought for the Community Advent Calendar @TallTrees
I am hopeful that the vixen visits here over the festive season, and expect the hedgehogs to make an appearance. Unfortunately I am not lucky enough to live near to any deer and don`t see badgers either, but there are plenty of birds around.

Hedgehogs shouldn't be seen now. They usually hibernate from Oct/Nov to March/April. Although in mild winters they can be seen in November. PS... they usually move nesting sites once during hibernation period.
Thanks for the info on hedgehogs @Cleoriff . Must have been Nov last year or when moving nesting site.
My bad memory which I blame on getting old - with another birthday to come along in 22 days time - ba humbug
