Who's online at the moment.

I am enjoying discovering more and more about this Community Group.  For instance I have just found out how to list the names of members who are currently online.  What a surprise to note that one member has been online for 8554 minutes (yes, that is eight thousand five hundred and fiftyfour minutes!!) 

But I also discovered that since I joined I have spent over 35 hours online in the Community. I think Procrastination is facing strong opposition for the title "Thief of Time".

You have an option to ignore a member or adjust your privacy settings.

Something I've not had the urge or need to use. (Yet. )

It is only a display option you cannot filter by friends in who is online

So....if I made everyone my 'friend' (:happy-smiley58:) would I be able to see everyone I had befriended online??

NB: Be gentle please...you know it takes me some time to absorb new info..:smileywink:

no you would show up to them if you had it set to show you to friends only

Everyone will show as online to you provided they have not hidden their status.
If they are hidden and on your friends list, you will still see them.

Reminds me of the old old forum where at one point, the number of posts made you into a ranking list. Days of pre-anti-spam precautions and lack of direction on the forum by o2 meant that a spammer got deleted but the system used to show them as the #2 poster with -1000000 or something ridiculous!

These days, I don't bother seeing who's online but for whatever's there that needs help on (decreased a lot lately on my account).

Oh just thinking, I believe a few of us have been on here for about 6 years now since I remembering registering around this time in 2008 (obligatory reference to Mod14 )

Now it seems to me that since this thread started and folk were told how showing online works.....

and also how to hide their status and activate privacy settings etc etc...that many of you may

have started doing that!!

I am always an early bird and was online at 7am....and no-one online??
