Although I'm not sure why there is a start time rule?

End time, yes, but start time?

Thanks yes, I am aware as I pointed out before Cleoriff, but I was just wondering why?
It's not a problem, just a question?

OK. To be serious for a moment.

I set the start time for pms at 12 noon way back for various reasons.

- I cannot guarantee when I can post the WRQ thread with the questions so did not want to give an earlier time which I might not be able to meet.

- By setting a start time, those who wish to be "fastest finger first" in getting their pm to me have an equal chance to do so.

- With the start time at 12 noon, it gives an exact number of hours [36 hours] between the start and end - rather than a random length of time for pming answers.

I hope that goes some way to explaining the reasoning, which seems to have been accepted by everyone. I hope that this rule hasn`t and won`t spoil the quiz.

Thank you.

The time rule always seems ok to me, as I'm aware that you have other commitments outside of the forum. Also you like to respond to everyone individually when they send their PM.

As I said, not a problem at all.

Thanks for the explanation and reasoning slight_smile
