Hey guys.
In one of my old forums I was a member of (not existing anymore since this year), we had a thread where everybody just told in short what made them happy this day. Thought it would be nice for here too!
To start: I'm working for EMS and my first call today was am expected birth. So we hoped we would be able to bring her into hospital just in time. But it didn't work. I was at the patient and she just said "it's coming"... My team-mate was driving REALLY fast, it took him about an kilometer to brake - during that time the baby was just born. Even we were a really young team and not long into job, we did VERY well and even the doctors told us we did excellent.
(Our last call was a reanimation on the street, the woman did not get an own circulation again.... But I guess that's the circle of life :D)

My son just called me - always bucks me up to hear his voice - he was calling from home
He was informed by Emma his wife about Marty - Alex is not on Facebook
My lad offered to pay the £260 for me. I am feeling heavy today and wasn't looking forward to going on the bus to my bank in Keighley asking for a temporary extension to my overdraft - the thought of the journey was creasing me
Alex kindly has transferred the money to my account - I shall pay him back in full - they have a hefty mortgage
I have in the past given him money for him to do stuff or buy stuff for when he was alone in rented accommodation in Leeds, before he met Emma via World Of Warcraft
A bit of a lump in my throat
Lovely Lad that he is.
Vet has just rung ... Marty does NOT have feline leukaemia or feline AIDS
Urine culture now off to the the lab ... this will show if he has an infection ... if so then it could be treated with antibiotics ... I can pay for this without compromising my good nature at the bank
Please someone tell me if I am going on un-necessarily about Marty and me

Thank you @gmarkj
I don't know if Marty has been checked for urine crystals
The urine sample that was taken yesterday is off to the lab to see if they can grow something - then maybe antibiotics
Thank you for the tip of using a water filter
We used one for us when we lived in the Stoke-on-Trent area - just could not make a decent cuppa then.

Good news @Anonymous Pleased to hear Marty has nothing life threatening. Good of Alex to help with the vet fee. One of my cats Riffraff, used to suffer with urinary infections. I used bottled water for him. This was years ago though.

And tomorrow I'm on dayshift again. My body is confused...
Shift patterns can be changed - 2Days, 2Off, 2Nights, 2O, 3D, 3O, 3N, 3O - if the workplace permits, much better than 4D, 2O, 4N, 4O, 2D, 4O.
Can't be as you only work with temporary staff (students from the university) - we're only 3 fully employed paramedics, so we have to take the shifts the students doesnt want...
That's why we want to leave ..
