What do you like best about Winter?

Hi everyone, 

No matter which season you enjoy the most, there's something to love about each of them. To help each other make the most of this Winter and appreciate the little things that come with those cold days, we thought it's be nice for everyone to share their favourite thing about Winter! It could be something small, big, personal: there's no rule really

Here are a few things that we thought were great about Winter:

☕  Warm winter brews

🧣🎅  Cozy clothing

❄️  The prospect of snow

🎄  Christmas markets and decorations

🎁  Finding the perfect presents for loved ones

⛸️  Ice skating

🧊 🌬️ The smell of cold in the air

🍲  All the comforting food

🍊  Citrus fruits are in season

Sorry to be a misery guts @Martin-O2  but my answer is not much!!

I hate the cold weather and the dark nights. I quite enjoy Christmas but that's about it!

Hopefully someone will post something more positive.

No worries @Cleoriff ! Those are both valid negatives about this time of year. Christmas is well timed in the middle of the dark cold months!

Sorry but I don`t look forward to or like winter.

The cold weather affects my health. The freezing conditions can make driving difficult for carers, health visitors, doctors, emergency service. Frozen ponds may look attractive but present problems for wildlife.

I look forward to the end of winter - with Spring bringing better weather, the newborn animals, lighter nights...

I love winter..

That crispy underfoot feeling. (only beaten by autumn leaves crunchiness)
That mist that hangs over the fields slowly evaporating as the sun rises in the crisp & clear blue sky.
watching the birds landing on frozen lakes (cruel?? Nah??)
On your bike.. not knowing if the ice covered puddle will crack or fail until you ride over it!

Interesting you mention the Gavle Goat @Anonymous. We had another member who told us the story about that. Sadly he left the forum and was missed a lot. You could be 'brothers'. He also loved bike riding.
