Weekend plans

Happy Friday evening guys, looking forward to the weekend? sun

I'd love to hear what you have planned for Saturday/Sunday. My plan includes...

  1. Playing World of Warcraft in pyjamas
  2. Having a walk along the canal (only if it's sunny and nice outside though)
  3. Relax on the sofa with mobile games, delicious snacks and a nice drink
  4. Hiking 25 miles in the highlands with my cats and sleeping in a tent.

One of these might not happen.

What about you? slight_smile

@EmilieT

It's Silverstone F1 this weekend, which is all I want really.

However, I am going to a 70th on Friday and out with the gang for a meal on Saturday staying overnight till Sunday.

Trying to fit all that in so it doesn't clash with Friday, Saturday and Sundays activities at Silverstone has been a a nightmare, though I have managed it. LOL

Another busy one for me: possibly helping do some gardening for the grandparents Saturday morning, then in the afternoon my daughter is on stage at a local show.
Then on Sunday we are using a Christmas present to go to Whipsnade zoo!

@Glory1 I hope you got through most of your planned recordings nerd

@Cleoriff I'll be checking the F1 thread soon but fingers crossed it was a good one, and enjoyed the meals and celebrations around it!

@gmarkj How was the local show with your daughter starring in it? I've never been to Whipsnade zoo, but it sounds like it should have been a fun day out  sun

@EmilieT

The weekend was great.

The night out, including the Freddy Mercury Tribute act was excellent. My friends were waiting to see my reaction as I'm a Queen fan and they were pleased to see I didn't bang my head on the table when 'Freddie' started singing. (A sure sign I think someone is rubbish joy)

Silverstone was magic, the best race on the calendar. It was a sellout and the fans weren't disappointed to see Lewis Hamilton giving a masterclass and winning the race. (the only driver to have won 6 times at Silverstone) The midfield battles were brilliant as well. smiling

Busy.

It is a local free event the council put on every year. This is the 2nd time the drama/dance group has performed on the stage and they did really well.

Whipsnade was good. Rained once, but we were on the steam train while it did. Other than that the weather was really good for what we were doing - not too hot and sunny so we could get round.

We saw all the animals that we wanted to, including the elephant, giraffes and the big cats (well, the female lions anyway).

Only managed 13,144 steps yesterday - 8.7km!

@EmilieT I've completely caught up on my recordings plus binge watched the final 5 episodes of Killing Eve; shocking ending to season 2.

Also managed the first 3 episodes of season 14 of Criminal Minds, plus finished my book and started another.

So a very productive weekend for me, thanks.

@Glory1 I agree about the ending of Killing Eve, looking forward to the rest of the story! The wedding was great thanks, I'll need to inspect my pictures and see if any are worthy of being posted in the photos thread ...

I had a great weekend with the cricket and F1 and the only downside was Federer being pipped at Wimbledon. Although I'm not a tennis nut so it didn't spoil things. Topped that off with great weather here too.

@EmilieT

I forgot to say, I binge watched Killing Eve last week. (I couldn't wait for it to be shown every Sunday so downloaded the lot)

Not giving one thing away.. apart from the fact the series was brilliant and the ending is shocking. Fear

Even my other half, not known for his 'emotional reaction' said  WTH? lol
