Hey guys,

I wanted to share this fantastic set if images from the 2016 Weather Photographer of the Year competition run by the the Royal Meteorological Society and The Royal Photographic Society. The images are the finalists for this year’s competition.

You can see the full range of finalist images using this link. I’m a big fan of nature photography in particular, what about you guys? What sort of images do you find most pleasing to the eye?

Are there any good telescopes for beginners you'd recommend @viridis? I'm tempted to have ago, but I'm not sure whether to try a cheaper one (that will inevitably not be as good) or just go fir it with a good one. I'm not sure where the cheap/quality ratio changes haha.

They make scopes from 50 quid to 20,000 and are pretty good.
Mines good enough to see detail in Saturn's rings and clouds on Jupiter.
It's all down to the eye pieces you can get.

It's crazy that such a detailed image can come from a mobile phone camera. I'd assumed you used one of the bad boy DSLR cameras!
