And @sheepdog there was never any world protest of Australia's treatment of Aboriginals which was similar to America's treatment of people of colour in my youth. Admittedly this has improved but is still far from perfect. But, of course, this isn't headline-grabbing news.

Do you know what gets me more than anything? This sort of thing...

His obsession with using Twitter.

"The opinion of this so-called judge, which essentially takes law-enforcement away from our country, is ridiculous and will be overturned!"
"When a country is no longer able to say who can, and who cannot , come in & out, especially for reasons of safety & security - big trouble!"

Most un-presidential thing I have ever seen. You really expect the President of one of the most prominent influential countries in the world to be a good statesman ...not a spoilt kid chucking his toys out of the pram...

I find it totally unacceptable that presidents and leaders of countries use Twitter at all, or indeed, any social media. How can someone be taken seriously while bleating on Twitter.

Now the justice department is appealing against the decision. Trump seems to have no understanding of how the US legal system is set up.

I've never understood it either @jonsie. They are supposed to be running countries which I would have thought gave them little time for much else.

As for Trump's lack of knowledge of the US legal system and how it works you'd be surprised how many Americans are clueless about this. My knowledge comes from being engaged to a lawyer many many moons ago, together with my interest in the law generally. However, Trump is President so someone should have clued him in. But then when you appoint cronies and people who supported your campaign as opposed to those with some knowledge of how government works what can you expect. It's a case of the blind leading the blind.

And, of course, Trump hates to lose and he would view what this judge has done as a personal affront to him. I await further events with baited breathe. It should be quite interesting.....😊
