Unless you have been in a news free zone for 24 hrs it wont have gone unnoticed that Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson has been suspended...
Allegedly he punched a producer....
Sundays episode has been shelved along with the remaining two in the Top Gear series..
Clarksons suspension has led to a massive petition for his reinstatement.
Personally, I wonder why so many want him back? Surely this massively popular show can survive without him? (Stands back ready to be panned for that comment )
Maybe this 'hero worship' of Clarkson is a 'man thing'? (apologies if that appears sexist )
I don't particularly like him. I think he arrogantly believes he is invincible....

I thought it wasn't half-bad to be honest personally. I really liked Matt Le Blanc and Chris Evans would be fine I think if he was just himself. I'll keep watching. I like the new Rally course for the Stars too :).

I watched some of it and enjoyed it. There are always going to be those who loved the old show and will compare this unfavourably to that. I hated Clarkson with a passion...so will watch this for a while ...I like Chris Evans you see. I will give it a chance...:smileywink:

Same as @Beenherebefore, I can't stand Chris Evans so won't be watching.

I was too busy to watch but it got slated in the press and the reviews were very poor. Early days though....

Actually I though Chris Evans was quite amusing when the first show aired. In his intro he 'dared' to make a joke about being hungry and would any of the producers care to get him something to eat?
I suppose this sort of comment would have offended the Clarkson fans though...

All in all the "new" show appears to be just a re-hash of everything Top Gear has already done.....no new ideas, no new format......same old.
It's also the 'type of humour' Chris Evans would use. Quite anarchic actually. However as I say Clarkson has gone...thank god. I may continue to watch this new show (even if it follows the old format) You should be watching the old team on Amazon Prime....
