So my fully ginger cat Gizmo, is missing a piece of DNA? Fascinating research.

He's 16 and has had no real health issues. Recently though, he's started ripping his fur out. (Perhaps he doesn't like being ginger!) His sister, Lily, is a Torty and they hate each other!! 😂

Interesting @pgn & @Cleoriff

My ginger / white rescue cat Marty was 17 when it was time to let him go ....... still miss him.

He liked to go outside on adventures

Big, softie, would defend himself when attacked by one of the neighbourhood cats, but wouldn't start a ruckus.

In the end he had kidney, white blood count, heart murmur, thyroid issues and cancer of the left eye which wasn't = it was infection from 2 bad teeth. 2 bad teeth vet wouldn't take out when removing left eye. He survived operation, but a few days after began trembling ....... won't be having any more cats ....... Marty broke the mould xx

Some of Alan Turing's documents were nearly done for by the shredder. They were saved and are now up for auction.

Alan Turing, inventor of the computer at Bletchly Park during WW11. I understand the place of codemakers / codebrakers etc is now a museum.

I read that @RunrigForever. There were 66 little ships which had to change course due to the boat carrying immigrants!

What made it worse was the Border Force and the French Navy were the people who asked our little ships to move out of the way. Absolutely appalling.

Conflict is king...

Somebody has opened a new ScottishPower account, and given the wrong e-mail address, so I am privy to all sorts of this person's interactions with his new energy provider...

This conflicting information made me wonder how much these companies understand what they write! From the e-mail arrived earlier:

From the same e-mail, two paragraphs later:

Exhibit 2:

FGS!!

First email :"Do Not Reply To This Email as It's Sent from an unmanned mailbox".

Second Email : "If you have received this in error, notify the sender!!"

If they get this simple thing so badly wrong, I would change my energy provider!

I have dual fuel with Scottish Power.

My son advises me to change as they are expensive.

Currently they are bothering me with wanting to install a Smart Meter, which is impossible in my house due to awkward situation of supply in cellar 'tunnel'.

In the past you could book a call with SP & they would ring you back.

CS was brilliant as locally sourced and I could understand what the operator was saying as : I say I am physically & mentally disabled, please speak slowly & clearly ....... it usually helps but not always as with say O2 outsourced CS.

Back to SP : I just can't go through the rigmarole of changing fuel providers it does my already impaired brain in ....... so ....... I stick with what I know ... ?
