Although I have not seen the biopic, I well remember watching Queen at Live Aid - a truly brilliant performance. I didn`t know that the band had such a short time to rehearse, which just shows how great they were.
I also remember listening to Kenny Everett playing Bohemian Rhapsody for the first time on the radio and thinking "what is this? - wow, it`s brilliant". Then, of course, Kenny being Kenny played it again and again, and each time it came on I was like "YES
". Only Kenny would have dared to do it.

You are so right about Kenny Everitt. Unique, anti-establishment and a very naughty boy.
He got on very well with Freddie, and so yes, thanks to him, we heard the wonderful Bohemian Rhapsody, which initially was panned by the critics.
After a year or so, they changed their minds. Suddenly it beame a superb song with a brilliant innovative video.
The original video released with the song, apparently became a benchmark for others to follow.

PS I saw them live at the Coventry Theatre in the 70's. Freddie wore the iconic white Zandra Rhodes pleated top

They were so good I said to my husband 'They're miming'. He replied, No, they aren't.
Of course they weren't.... they were just brilliant.

I saw Queen at Stafford Bingley Hall 1977
The poster`s not mine. It was sold at Bonham`s for £125. The small print about tickets, includes Virgin Records, Birmingham, where I queued outside for 26 hours and got four tickets.
Well worth it. Stood in front of the stage, facing piano, whilst Freddie sang Bohemian Rhapsody.
As for Kenny? Loved his sense of humour, being non-conventional. He began his radio career as a pirate on watery-wireless station Radio London after listening to Radio Caroline (North) off the Isle of Man, and decided he wanted to be a dj.

It was 1975 we saw them at the Coventry Theatre November 16th. They were supported by Mr Big
Not my ticket either. Just amazed at how little it cost to see them!!

I'm sure it was all done in the best possible taste....though some might call him a "Cupid St*nt"

Every time I think of Kenny Everitt, I remember that alter ego. Along with Sid Snot, he had me crying with laughter.
