Texts outside of the UK

Hi there, I have been trying to send a couple of texts to numbers outside of the UK ie Dublin and Galway and they're not being sent. Can you tell me the reason for this?

@anitalaughs Download WhatsApp and make sure the people you're texting have the app too. You can then call, text, and video call anyone anywhere in the world who also has the app for free if you do it over a WiFi connection.

Or, if PAYG, have you enough balance for out-of-tariff SMS, @anitalaughs?

SMS to a non-UK number are not included in your tariff when you are sending them from the UK (they would be included if you were in Ireland and roaming as part of the Roam like Home O2 EU roaming deal).
