It's that time of year again folks.

From Monday August 13th they will start revealing the candidates for this years show. I understand the first one will be on that nights episode of the One Show.

Many names being bandied about and people are even putting bets on them? (A bit stupid when there's been nothing official yet)

Anyway names in the mix so far

Cheryl Cole (can't see that happening)

Ashley Roberts  (former Pussycat Doll)

Lee Ryan (from Blue)

Faye Tozer (from Steps)

Les Dennis

Tom Daley

Steph Mc Govern BBC Newscaster.

Dan Walker (Sports Presenter)

Colleen Rooney (can't see that as they have just upped sticks and moved to the US for Waynes football career)

Michelle Keegan (Corrie and Our Girl)

Mark Labbett (The Beast) from The Chase.

Kate Silverstone (BBC Newsreader)

That's all I've got so far and probably half of them are wrong but hey...

What is certain , the judging panel and the presenters remain the same.

Also the guy who will replace the lovely Brendon Cole is Neil Jones. He has been on the show as a back up dancer and is married to last years winning professional Katya Jones

The 6th contestant  was announced this afternoon. He is a retired cricketer. Graeme Swann

I have heard of him but as I'm not a fan of the sport, I cant really say much about him..

I don't follow cricket either but I have heard of him. I think he was quite a star in his day, if my memory is any good. He'd to have been for me to remember the name.

The BBC said this about him.....

"Hailed as one of the country’s greatest spinners, he has many accolades to his name, from playing a key role in the 2009 Ashes victory to being crowned ECB Cricketer of the Year one year later. However, when an elbow injury affected his performance in the 2013 Ashes series, Graeme retired from the sport and took his expertise to punditry and cricket coverage instead."

Well that explains why I remember his name @Cleoriff. It's only the 'greats' whose names I remember in cricket, as I've never followed the sport. You hear them so often on the news the names stick in your mind.

I've just heard the next contestant will be announced on ITV's This Morning tomorrow.

Points to them being from ITV then.

It's Dr Ranj Singh from This Morning

Not sure about any dancing skills but he's a great doctor

Oh dear another name I don't really know but then I don't watch This Morning. So far I only really only know one and know the name of the retired cricketer. Everyone else so far are total unknowns to me. Hope they can dance.

I think they're announcing  in the amount of money being paid to appear:  This one's Stacey Dooley, a name on BBC 3. Apparently.

Can't say the name or face mean anything to me @sheepdog. Another 'celebrity' to appeal to the younger set. But can she dance?
