It's that time of year again folks.
From Monday August 13th they will start revealing the candidates for this years show. I understand the first one will be on that nights episode of the One Show.
Many names being bandied about and people are even putting bets on them? (A bit stupid when there's been nothing official yet)
Anyway names in the mix so far
Cheryl Cole (can't see that happening)
Ashley Roberts (former Pussycat Doll)
Lee Ryan (from Blue)
Faye Tozer (from Steps)
Les Dennis
Tom Daley
Steph Mc Govern BBC Newscaster.
Dan Walker (Sports Presenter)
Colleen Rooney (can't see that as they have just upped sticks and moved to the US for Waynes football career)
Michelle Keegan (Corrie and Our Girl)
Mark Labbett (The Beast) from The Chase.
Kate Silverstone (BBC Newsreader)
That's all I've got so far and probably half of them are wrong but hey...
What is certain , the judging panel and the presenters remain the same.
Also the guy who will replace the lovely Brendon Cole is Neil Jones. He has been on the show as a back up dancer and is married to last years winning professional Katya Jones

From what I could see in the group dance, and I couldn't see a lot, Anton has his work cut out with Susannah, she's a heavy on her feet. Poor Anton, looks like he has the booby prize again.
I reserve judgement on the rest. It will be easier to see what they're like when it's just one couple on the floor not all 15.

While I'm at it, I hope they improve on the live acts. Nile Rodgers was fine but Craig David and Miss Whatsherface were blummimng cr@p...

I echo that @Cleoriff. I chose checking out Amazon and doing some pre-orders during the live acts, that's how good I thought they were 👎
I visited the bathroom during the live music entertainment ... ... ... it's going to be interesting ... ... ... hope the 2 gobby male celebs exit quickly ... the Dr looks good ... there are some typical 'blondes' in the celeb line-up ... Vick should go far ... beware dark horses ie the Paralympian, she will be competing in her career between now & the live show in 2 weeks ... Danny John Jules can dance in musicals ... Kate Silvertone I'm watching ... Suzannah, well let's see if Anton can work his magic ... the rest I can't think of atm
Next week it's the best moments of SCD which I shall be watching

For SCD fans. BBC 1 are showing a programme tonight at 7.10am called 'Strictly the Best'
It's looking back at many of the best bits of the show since it started.

Not gonna miss it @Cleoriff. I'm looking forward to seeing some of the dances from before I started watching, as well as ones seen. I know which of those I've seen I'd like to see again, hope I'm not disappointed 😉

No, as I didn't watch Red Dwarf.
However, the argument from the SCD team would be that he never did any ballroom dancing.
I agree through, the contestants never start on a level playing field. Ashley Roberts, was a member of Pussycat Dolls and they used to dance all the time...(as well as sing)
