Dunno, never heard Messi comparing himself to a "slave" while on 80k a week.
Both do enormous things for charity, leo Messi foundation, and Ronaldo with his work for numerous child charities and Italian boutiques.
But let's be a bit real shall we, for both of them, giving a 10k cheque to whomever, is like me putting a tenner in a charity bucket, why should the press cover these acts of (tax deductible) charity?
Just in my opinion, Messi is less of a sponsorship **bleep** and keeps himself that slightly more reserved when it comes to putting his name on anything.

80K a week. ..where have you been living...? EVEN THE LIKES OF Rooney are on £300K a week before sponsorships, endorsed products, boot deals and newspaper columns. Obscene money yes, but at least some of it is going to people who need and deserve it.

I loved Ronaldo when he was at ManU but sometimes you need to keep your personal life private and do your talking on the pitch. Just how much is the press and how much is down to his agent is anyone's guess but Messi is quiet, unassuming and his talent and skill is there...everyone can see and admire it....which of them shone at the World Cup last year....the defence rests m'lud!
