Samsung Galaxy X or F Foldable Phone/Tablet

So Samsung have given us a sneak preview of their soon to be foldable phone. Unknown name as yet but it will have a 7.3 inch Infinity Flex display. Going into serious production in the next few months

It looks damn fabulous. A phone with a large enough display (for me) to use as a phone....then fold it out and it's a tablet. A 2 in 1 device. It will be far too expensive for me to buy sim free though...

This article offers the following caveat about possible limitations, which is pretty much in line with my first impressions:

"To go foldable, there's likely to be big trade-offs on price, screen quality and perhaps weight - the device Samsung teased today did look chunky."

But it depends what you're looking for in a smartphone, and perhaps I'm too old-fashioned to appreciate the potential benefits
